Hispanofest

Dates: September 16th & 17th, 2006
Location: Melrose Park Civic Center

This event is a non-for-profit organization planned by volunteer community members and businesses.

The two-day festival and parade prides itself for being the largest Hispanic dry festival in the Western Suburbs. The family-oriented festival fundraises for scholarships. Hispanofest also brings culture, ethnic foods and entertainment from all around Latin America. They brought together an attendance of over 250,000 people to Melrose Park in 2005 - a jump from 120,000 in 2004. It is an event that is growing more every year!

For the first time in history, Hispanofest will be held on the grounds of The Village of Melrose Park at the Civic Center. Come and enjoy the food, culture, carnival, music and entertainment. You will have fun!

For information on how to apply for the scholarship, participate in the parade, or have an exhibit or a booth in the festival please contact San Anguiano and she will direct you to the right person.
